DATA MINING CUP 2023: Winning teams from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences present their projects at the DMC Workshop
The winners of the DATA MINING CUP 2023 are announced. Students and staff from Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation from Malaysia, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences from Germany submitted their data mining projects with a focus on sustainability to this year’s Call for Paper and were selected by the jury as the best projects of the year. They presented their projects at the DATA MINING CUP workshop on June 22 in Berlin.
The team from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences presented their project “Zero Waste City”, which uses data mining to reduce municipal waste and improve waste separation in Frankfurt. The Returns Reduction in E-commerce project was presented by the team from Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, which focuses on improving customer satisfaction and minimizing returns by classifying and analyzing product reviews. And the team from the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences demonstrated how intelligent data analysis can be used to improve offers for the timely sale of food via an app in the “Food rescue at the end of the day” project.
Participants had a total of six weeks to submit their projects. This year, 69 teams from 17 countries took part. The DATA MINING CUP was held by GK Software for the 24th time this year.
